Porsche 934
【 The Admired Black 】 The Porsche Turbo RSR was developed to be used for the World Sportscar Championship which started in 1976. This Group 4 car was based on the Porsche 930 Turbo, therefore it was called Porsche 934 Racing, and it was also a dominant car in GT car races around the world. Tamiya’s first R/C car the Porsche 934 was released and approximately 100 thousands cars were sold within a year after its release. To celebrate its success, a limited edition black-colored Porsche 934 was released near the end of 1977 and was admired among R/C fans. This re-released model features two different body shells; a polycarbonate body for running use as well as an injection-molded resin body for display use. The resin body is molded with an overhauled original metal mold which was produced more than 30 years ago. The kit packaging and the included carrying bag feature a retro design to remind us of the good old days. A small metal individually numbered plate is included for this premium re-released model.
【 GT-01 Chassis 】 The high-performance GT-01 chassis is specific to the TamTech-Gear Series. Its lightweight semi-monocoque frame has a low center of gravity and a durable roll cage for excellent balance. 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension features a unique front-mounted horizontal friction damper system allowing for an accurate low silhouette. A rear-mounted high-efficiency Type 370 motor drives the rear wheels just like in the actual car, with a ball differential and slipper clutch ensuring maximum traction. Full ball bearings and universal shafts come standard to help minimize friction loss. In addition, body mount parts for the resin body are included to ensure the best fitting to the chassis.
